Noora Uusitalo unveils the Innovation Centre's reflective overall patch — here’s how you can add some shine to your overalls too!

“You can never have too many patches like this, especially on dark overalls!”

Starting her fourth year of studies, Noora Uusitalo had the honor of being the first to receive the Innovation Centre’s brand-new overall patch. This patch is sure to brighten up those dark autumn evenings with its dazzling special effects:

  • Reflective base fabric

  • Glow-in-the-dark thread

  • A design that radiates innovation and creativity

We believe this patch perfectly embodies the spirit of both the Innovation Centre and the students and researchers at the University of Oulu: learning, new innovations, and especially that moment when a light bulb goes off in your head, filling you with fresh inspiration!

Want to make your overalls shine brighter too? Mark your calendar for the Innovation Centre’s Open House on September 12th from 11 AM to 1 PM! Follow our new Instagram account and swing by the Innovation Centre’s Living Room (YT103) to get your very own patch!

Noora Uusitalo

Noora is studying logopedics, with dreams of becoming a speech therapist. She loves her studies because they combine multiple fields — like medicine, psychology, and linguistics.

After graduation, Noora hopes to find a job that offers diverse opportunities and challenges. She’s drawn to working in the public sector, where she can help a wide range of clients and where no two days are ever the same.

When asked about her favorite innovation, Noora didn’t hesitate: it’s the dishwasher. She admits that dishwashing is her least favorite chore, so she’s grateful for the innovation that makes this everyday task a little easier!
