Additionally, discussions took place during the event on what program-based funding from Business Finland means from the perspective of research institutions. This spring, Business Finland is launching at least six different programs (internal link).

The event featured speeches from the university management (Arto Maaninen) and Business Finland representatives (Jani Jokitalo and Pekka Rantala). Finally, three funded projects were presented in more detail: Markku Juntti spoke about the 6G-ISAC Co-Research project, Matti Silveri discussed the TORQS Co-Innovation project, and Arto Pikkarainen and Petri Aikio presented the CAAMA project, which received Research-to-Business funding.

At the University of Oulu, support for applying for Business Finland funding and guidance on necessary contracts is provided by the Innovation Centre.
