University of Oulu Proof-of-Concept funding call

The 2023 PoC (Proof-of-Concept) funding call is now open for applications from University of Oulu. The funding is intended for making the first implementation of an invention or idea.

PoC funding is intended for research and student teams. It is awarded a total of €200,000. The amount can grow even bigger when the city of Oulu makes its own funding decision during the spring.Funding aims to increase possibilities of creating research and student-based businesses.

You can apply for funding as long as it is still available. The aim is to distribute the funds during the spring so the projects can be implemented by the end of November.

How to apply for PoC funding?

• Read through the funding call

• Look at the funded PoC projects from previous years

• Fill in the application form and send it to Registry of University (Kirjaamo)

Application will be handled in the University Innovation Centre. You will get a response within 2-4 weeks from submitting the application.
