23 funded projects to celebrate
Researchers who received Business Finland funding during 2022 were celebrated today at the University of Oulu.
In the celebration you were able to meet Business Finland’s experts, researcher colleagues and representatives of the Innovation Centre. Also, three funded researchers, Juha Heiskanen (FurBio), Rafal Sliz (Novel Material and Print) and Timo Bräysy (EMETA), explained in more detail what their funded projects were about.
The University of Oulu received the fourth most research funding from Business Finland in 2022. A total of EUR 12.7 million was made available for projects. This is one of the factors that will enable projects to continue. This will enable the University of Oulu to continue its research, for example, in bio-based carbon dioxide (Bio-CCU) and 6G (6GBridge-6CORE and Local 6G, for example).
The idea of Business Finland Champions Awards is not only to enjoy cake and coffee in honor of successful projects, but also to enable networking between different faculties. This will contribute to the creation of multidisciplinary projects, i.e. projects crossing faculty boundaries.
