Billion-dollar leading companies and slightly smaller challenger companies need partners for solving the challenges of the future. Could your company's future be related to them? Or are you interested in finance and partnership?

This year’s University Business Forum brings several leading companies to Northern Finland for the first time! The event is organized by the University of Oulu on October 12 and participation is free. In the event, you will hear inspiring speeches and have chances for networking. Welcome aboard!

  • Representatives from Bittium (Jari Partanen), Danfoss (Laura Frisk), Konecranes (Mikael Haag), Mirka (Charlotta Risku), Nokia (Olli Liinamaa), Orion Pharma (Timo Korjamo) and Valmet (Virpi Puhakka) participate in the panel discussion and thematic sessions. Arto Pussinen from Business Finland also participates in the panel discussion. 

  • In addition, the programme includes special sessions about the future of fashion, the potential of artificial intelligence, and school-industry cooperation to diversify career choices. Sessions coincide with thematic sessions.

In recent years, Business Finland has challenged the leading companies of international business networks to invest in solving future challenges and to significantly increase research, development and innovation (RDI) activities in Finland. Funding has so far been provided to: ABB, Bittium, Borealis Polymers, Danfoss, Fortum & Metsä Group, Kone, Konecranes, Meyer Turku, Mirka, Neste, Nokia, Orion, Picosun, Ponsse, Epec, Sandvik, TietoEVRY, Valmet and Wärtsilä. In order to do things ambitiously, these companies need partners (both companies and research partners) to develop solutions, technologies and know-how. There is a total of hundreds of millions of euros in funding for the cooperation.
